LOOKING FOR ACTORS!!!

​

We will be holding auditions for our September BAREBOARDS event on:

  • Sunday, 17th July at 2pm - 3:30pm 

  • Wednesday, 20th July at 7:30pm - 9pm

  • Monday, 25th July at 7:30pm - 9pm

 

You must be available for ALL performances & tech rehearsals.

 

Performances will be held on September 7th, 9th & 10th from 8pm to 10pm.

 

Tech rehearsals will be held on September 5th & 6th from 7pm.

 

**NOTE: Auditions are open to all members. Non-financial members are also welcome to audition, however if chosen, you will be required to become a financial member of the Arts Theatre Cronulla. The membership fee is $25 - payable once your involvement is confirmed.**

Rehearsals to commence from late July. Rehearsal dates will vary for each play depending on director/cast.

A LOVELY DAY FOR A BOATING TRIP (AND TO ESCAPE YOUR OWN WEDDING)

Synopsis:

Two best friends, one wedding and only one means of escape. A bride will test the limits of friendship and learn some hard truths in the process.

 

Characters:
Sadie - Late 20s. 

The bride. Spontaneous and emotional. Not the best with following through.

Gwen - Late 20s. 

The best friend and Maid of Honour. Clever and determined. She is the Ying to the bride's Yang.

Synopsis

A wealthy, narcissistic killer is about to be sentenced. He is being interviewed by a psychiatrist who is also a friend of the Judge and his father.

​

Characters:
Dr Margaret Welton - Psychiatrist, 40+, quietly explores the mindset of a remarkable serial killer.

Kendall Chauwston-Browne - Serial Killer, 30+, very articulate and privileged man who regards himself as a person born to rule in the same manner as royalty. (THIS ROLE HAS BEEN CAST.)

Synopsis

After defeating Prussia, Napoleon is imposing a harsh treaty that will halve the size of the kingdom. Queen Louise must exert all her charm to plead for clemency.

Synopsis:

A cliff top hike to find love is never going to be a smooth path. To find it, you're going to need to be prepared to fall from a great height.

​

Characters:
Josie - Late 50s, divorced, doesn't suffer fools.


Logan - Late 50s, divorced, nice guy, but a bit gullible. Awkward around the whole dating process.


Carla - Early 60s, divorced, Josie's sociable & meddling cousin.

​

Charlie - Early 60s, four times divorced, Logan's party-loving older brother.
